Seoul, South Korea

Day 1

Morning: Start your day with a trip to Gyeongbokgung Palace  , the largest of Seoul's five royal palaces. Marvel at the intricate architecture and learn about Korea's Joseon Dynasty.  Be sure to catch the changing of the Royal Guard ceremony   held every hour in front of the Gwanghwamun Gate.  After the palace, head to nearby Bukchon Hanok Village  , a charming neighborhood filled with traditional Korean houses called hanoks.  Wander the narrow alleys, admire the well-preserved wooden structures, and pop into a tea house for a refreshing cup of Korean tea.

Afternoon: In the afternoon, take a trip to Insadong, Seoul's cultural heart  .  This lively district is packed with shops selling traditional crafts, souvenirs, and artwork.  Browse the stalls, try your hand at making some traditional crafts yourself, or simply soak up the atmosphere.  For a break from shopping, visit one of Insadong's many art galleries or tea houses.  In the evening, head to Myeongdong  , Seoul's most popular shopping district.  This bustling area is lined with shops selling everything from clothes and cosmetics to Korean snacks and street food.  Be sure to try some of the local favorites, like tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and kimbap (seaweed rice rolls).

Evening: After shopping in Myeongdong  , unwind with a delicious Korean BBQ dinner.  Korean BBQ is a fun and interactive dining experience where you cook your own meat and vegetables at your table.  There are many BBQ restaurants to choose from in Myeongdong, so you're sure to find one that fits your taste and budget.  After dinner, if you're feeling energetic, you can check out Seoul's nightlife scene.  There are bars and clubs all over the city, catering to all different tastes.

Day 2

Morning: Rise and shine early for a trip to N Seoul Tower  , located on top of Namsan Mountain  .  Take the cable car up to the tower and enjoy stunning panoramic views of the city.  You can even put a lock on the tower's fence with your loved one's name on it.  After N Seoul Tower, head to Namsangol Hanok Village  , an open-air museum that showcases traditional Korean houses from the Joseon Dynasty. Explore the houses, learn about Korean culture   and history, and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the gardens.

Afternoon: In the afternoon, head to the National Museum of Korea  , one of the largest museums in Asia.  The museum houses a vast collection of Korean art and artifacts, from prehistoric times to the present day.  Spend a few hours exploring the exhibits and learning about Korea's rich history and culture.  After the museum, take a walk along the Cheonggyecheon Stream  , a restored stream that flows through the heart of Seoul.  The stream is a great place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Evening: In the evening, enjoy a traditional Korean performance.  There are a variety of different types of Korean performances to choose from, such as acrobatics, music, and dance.  No matter what type of performance you choose, you're sure to be entertained by the talent and skill of the performers.  After the performance, indulge in some delicious Korean street food  .  Seoul is famous for its street food, and there are endless options to choose from.  Be sure to try some of the classics, like pajeon (scallion pancakes), tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and kimbap (seaweed rice rolls).

Day 3

Morning: On your last day in Seoul, spend the morning exploring one of Seoul's many neighborhoods.  There are many different neighborhoods to choose from, each with its own unique charm.  If you're interested in history and culture, head to Jongno-gu  , home to many of Seoul's palaces and museums.  If you're looking for something more modern and trendy, check out Gangnam-gu  , home to the famous Gangnam Style district. No matter which neighborhood you choose, you're sure to find something to interest you.

Afternoon: In the afternoon, do some shopping at one of Seoul's many department stores or underground shopping malls.  Seoul is a shopper's paradise, with something to offer everyone.  If you're looking for high-end brands, head to one of the department stores in Myeongdong or Gangnam.  If you're on a budget, check out one of the underground shopping malls, which offer a variety of shops selling clothes, accessories, and souvenirs.
